Much as I'd like him gone, it won't happen, so Allardyce has to tinker with the midfield to give it more energy and hold onto the ball longer.

Unfortunately I suspect he'll see the win as total vindication for the way we played and not bother with the tinkering you suggest.

But I fear similar tactics next Sunday will not achieve the same end product.

Suarez and Sturridge are just a bit better than Sunderland's front two. And I'm afraid Sterling could cause havoc against McCartney, and Armero on last night's evidence.
