    Fair play Pepe Mel

For those who didn't see it on the weekend, I had to watch the last 5 mins of the Baggies v Bluebirds game when it got televised here.

When Cardiff equalised at the death (in Fergie time perhaps), Pepe Mel shrugged his shoulders, walked up to Solskjaer, shook his hand (before the final whistle had blown), then went up to the fourth official to berate him about the extra, extra time.

Fair play Pepe Mel - it was a nice touch to see in what was a great finish to a match. After full time he again went up to Solskjaer for final whistle handshake.

A pity when a 'class act' is so rare as to be worth drawing attention to. Hope he hangs around for a while, though I assume it all boils down to whether the Baggies survive or are relegated.

Mel sure is a contrast to Mourinho and his self-promoting headlines and whining.

Just seems a really good bloke. Breath of fresh air (won't make the obvious joke) and agreed its a great contrast from the usual surly self important tossers. Kenny Jacket is similar.
Fancy them cheering in the 94th minute then BOOOING at the final whistle...mmmm cue BaggieBlood, the ultimate dimwit.

Totally agree with you guys, the man is honest, a fans favourite and deserves a chance to prove himself. However, the biggest outstanding weakness is our inability to defend, just like when RDM was in charge, which is plain obvious to see. That 3rd goal shouldn't have happened, simple as really, but it did and we have to deal with it. I'd say the odds of a black country derby next season are still 50/50, i expect you will be cheering Sunderland on, and with us West Ham. I expect tonights game to be huge as Sunderland have a horrible run for the next 4 games coming up, so for them to not win tonight could be a huge help for us. However, if we do go down, i expect Pepe to give the championship an almighty good go.

That's the point really, if you do go down it would be a big mistake to let the guy go and be replaced by another "flavor of the month". He needs time to put his own stamp on the team and bring in a couple of new pl
