    15,000 tonight...Pathetic!

No not them lot, Wigan for all the seasons they have spent in the Prem, on a fantastic run and playing the Champions elect this is all they can muster.

One thing it does show is clubs likeToytown and the Dingles could easily survive in the top division with the right funding.

    Fantastic.

I love a gripping attendance thread. And for those that start them there's a fair amount of gripping going on.

I think 15k for Wigan is quite good considering the size of their fan base. I was impressed by my visit this season, very reasonable prices and no paying for parking bang next to the ground.

If you want to find a pathetic attendance from last night, then look no further than the one team city up the M1 who got 17K. Yet my Leeds supporting mates all inform me they're one of the best supported clubs in the country...maybe away from home, but their home support doesn't stick around when the going gets tough.

You lot are obsessed with attendances. Still if you want pathetic, you lot only had 17000 home fans against Leicester , and less than 20k against Leeds and Forest. Nuff said. 3 home games in a week plus a A?250 Wembley day out has people checking their finances.

Thought it wouldn't be long before the village idiot would come spouting rubbish in an attendance thread

He's so wound up that he hasn't even read the first post to see who it was about

tbh I thought the 21,000 the pigs got for their 125th anniversary wasn't quite pathetic but very pathetic...

So you come on this thread, which has nothing to do with your club and quote some of our attendances and yet it is us that have an obsession.

Hoot, I agree with Rotherham on this with the points he raised. 15k is reasonable.

Attendances unless you are the top 4 - 8 in the Premiership are never going to be like they used to be - due the costs involved, TV etc.
Here's a scenario - if Wednesday were ever to relocate and build a new stadium, would they build a 38k one to match Hillsborough?
The answer is no - 25k would be more than sufficient and the same goes for United based on their attendances.

I know I am going way of topic now but Brightons ground is an excellent example of the way ahead and would suit both Sheffield teams fanbase.
I would always prefer a nearly full 25k stadium as apposed to a half full Hillsborough.
