If Cambridge go up, im sure well be meeting County next season.

This is going to make me seem older than i am, but so what. Cambridges first season in the league, 70 71, we met County at Home in April.

We were near the bottom of the old div 4, and struggling. County were the runaway leaders with Tony Hately up front , Dave Needham, Don Masson and Brian Stubbs.

It was a lovely day, big crowd, and sunshiny. Hately put County one up after about ten minutes, and it looked like we were going to get hammered bad.

The fight back started immediately, United upping their game immeasurably. I cant remember all the details, but it was 2-2 with ten minutes to go.

Out of the blue, Robin Hardy lashed home from close range to win the game 3-2. An unbelivable result considering the start.

If you dont believe me look it up. When the clubs meet next season ill take you to the Abbey. Goran.
