re: Is it justice or scapegoat for the 96?

being of an age to fully comprehend both Hillsborough and valley parade I am appalled that the Bradford city disaster seems to be swept under carpet to read reports of the father dying protecting his kids from the flames is very emotive. unfortunately the media are only concerned about making there own news yes the police have covered up appallingly and justice will be done no doubt .
but despite all this it still will not ease pain or bring back the 96 or the ones at Bradford or the ibrox disaster which is so easily forgotten from the near past. I agree with old time ram rats and ramondo. till will break this media led journalistic view that they run the country it will never change

It's not as if the Liverpool fans didn't have previous of crushing people to death. You would've thought they'd learnt their lesson, but no, because it was the Juventus fans that died we don't hear a thing. Justice for the 96? Think they should look a bit closer to home. - view external link

I personally don't think that this forum is the place for a thread of this nature.

Its a highly emotive subject to which everyone will have and is entitled to their view but it has little to do with football and will upset some people.

    Just my humble view.

Well if I'm not going to discuss it here, where am I? It's a more appropriate place than most.

I feel sorry for the people who lost people close to them, but many people have. They should grieve in private and perhaps their sorrow will diminish.

Please do research before making such controversial comments. Heysel wasn't just the Liverpool fans fault, the Juventus fans actually started the fighting in the stadium. The Liverpool fans did indeed chase the Italians, but they didn't "crush" them, in heinseight they crushed their own fans against the back wall, causing a terrible and falling apart stadium to collapse. Liverpool certainly do take blame, but so do the Italians, but mainly Uefa do for me. They firstly selected a terrible venue. The Nou camp and the Bernebau were both available, yet they selected an old athletics track which was clearly not up to standard. Next, Uefa put a "neutral" section bet

Grief in private? Do you realise why they are fighting? How would you feel if your father died, only to be labelled by the government and in the media as a "murderer" and that they caused their own deaths? Please think

Hence my comment above - its a delicate matter and one that should be avoided especially if all of the facts are not known.

It is a forum where people can openly share views but the topic here now is not football.

I don't mind debate, but I'd like people to know the facts before they comment. It's a very emotional subject, I had friends at Hillsborough and it really was an horrific event
