Sorry Judd, just caught up. Well done with the charred apprentice mind. I've been involved in two (2) serious fires now and I wouldn't willingly go back into an burning building.

This guy owns lots off of guitars. He's been in bands, duos and done residencies all his life and is an guitarist/guitar technician. He even makes his own, carving bodies and buying in necks. From talking to him, there isn't much that he hasn't played. He likes an Fender, but says that to an jobbing musician the US version isn't worth the extra money. He has an Mexican Standard that sounds particularly nice and he says the difference in sound is negligible while the price difference is around 800 quid.
