Not really summat I use, but I heard this report on 5 Live yesterday whilst driving to Alston about it. It appears that you* don't actually own any off of the stuff you* download from these sites, they are effectively rented, this was a sort off of report about what to dee with I Tunes libraries when you* kick the bucket.

I was sort off of assuming the same applies to ebooks from Kindle and Kobo and such like, does anybody know if that's right, 'cos I of loads off of ebooks?

Presumably If you leave your password it just continues. How would Apple know you were dead? The commercial point of iTunes is that they control what you download. Therefore free downloads will no longer exist. It is also why they are cutting usb ports on tablets so that what you can download is restricted

Seems an bit sneaky to be honest, but can you* not get access to your I Tunes library through any computer? That way you* could presumably download stuff on to an USB device from any computer.

Is Kindle the same, I do know I can access my books from anywhere, but I've never tried copying any to an USB stick or owt..

I of'd this same conversation on Sunday night. Apparently someone like Bruce Willis was taking Apple to task over this.

Of the six (6) people sat round the table there was about 3 grands worth off of choons downloaded on varying devices, none off of which they actually owned!
