    Claret in peace...

    Hello all,

Not here to do an `oldtimeram` and try to put the fear of God into you prior to your play-off games, (it's what he did on our board, trying to give us the fear in the hope of it transferring to the pitch ) just wishing you all the best for what is a very nervous/exciting time for you all.

Desperate for you to make it ahead of the other clubs, especially QPR. Our games were soooo tight this year, and the football you play is easy on the eye. The wally seems to have sorted you out.

And if you read this oldtime, that is one QUALITY avatar you have there...

Wouldn't call a 5-0 aggregate score close, but you definitely deserve to go up and any other season would be worthy champions. Had Martin not been sent off and the goal counted in the second game then we could have been looking at a 2 point gap instead of 8 and a great final day of the season, but never mind hey

cheers bob. if martin hadn't got sent off and the game 1-1, it would have been really interesting to see who would of come out on top. derby controlled most of the 2nd half with 10 men but always had the feeling that was only because you were winning and you had several gears to go through if needed.

as for the game at our place, you battered us. not a close one but that was before the messiah was appointed manager. I'm glad we won't have to play you in the play offs and I suspect the feelings mutual!

Thanks for the support fellas. Speaking as a season ticket holder at the Ipro, Mac certainly does seem to have done the trick although a huge debt of gratitude must also go to Clough and Metgod who laid the foundations. Some of the football on show has been an absolute pleasure to watch and trying to pick a goal of the season is virtually impossible!

As for the Rams in the Play-Offs, if there is any justice, as we have clearly been the 3rd best team in the division over course of the season and having put in some of the quality displays we have, we can only hope we are able to put in suitably fitting performances when it counts and get ourselves up!?!

Good luck next year Clarets. The one non Derby game I was really looking forward to this year was your 1st vs 2nd clash with Leicester. Would have been a real contest. Shame you guys got those key injuries which stopped it from being the game it should have been!

Thanks Bob, its nice to say that the top 2 this season is difficult to argue with and good look trying to beat our awesome 11pts

What was nice was walking away from games this season (especially recently) opposition fans heading with us have pretty universally wished Derby well in the playoffs and normally ended with a resigned "you played us off the park".

Certainly fun times, let's keep it going though!
