    Transfers/Rumours Thread

Couldn't find the old one, so I figured I'd start a new one. Should be an interesting summer with our promotion. Seems like most are happy with our squad, and seen most just calling for strength in depth as some of the young guys just aren't ready and we'd like to ship out the deadwood permanently.

McAlinden has signed a new contract extension

Edwards looks poised to do the same

Saw a rumour about Jonson Clarke-Harris of Oldham and that Wolves were looking at him (E&S). Was Peterborough property before last summer, never played a match for them. Only a 19 year old forward and got alot of time with Oldham this season.

Callum Wilson talk sprung up again last week (E&S). Had a great season with Coventry and they'd be real ticked to see us take Clarke and Wilson w/in one calendar year.

The 'loony season' is about to start, when every journalistic hack can make it up as he goes along to justify his existence.

Or am I being a bit cynical!

Didn't realize that he was the last English player to win the Prem Golden Boot. France and Netherlands have had 3 different players in the Golden Boot in that time.

France and Netherlands have leagues that have dominant teams and lower average quality so more goals to be had...

    Just a thought.

Misunderstood me. France and Netherlands have had 3 different players win the Prem Golden Boot (not European G. van Nistelrooy, Hasselbaink, and van Persie for the Netherlands, Anelka and Henry for France (sorry, 2 not 3).

Wolves Rumours suggest KJ's been scouting Oldham Captain Korey Smith. His write-up is very promising:-

Those that were at the Oldham matches - is Smith more of a defensive midfielder, creative midfielder, balanced etc?

Solely looking at the stats, i would guess he is a Henry esq type player, 4 goals in 150ish games. 1 goal a season type.
