    re: Gerry Adams arrested

There were many atrocities carried out by ALL sides during the 70s in NI, Do you pursue all who carried them out ? or do you draw a line under it all and continue to build the peace,Irrespective of Adams involvement or not, irrespective of others involvement in atrocities including members of the security services perhaps it is time to draw a line, I know this has to be balanced with justice for ALL those victims and their families, Its a very difficult one to deal with, And unfortunetely there are those who will never accept the peace and thats a real shame Also if Adams is conclusivly found to have had nothing to do with this, There are those who will insist he's guilty, that's the situation we're dealing with, Its called blind hatred on BOTH sides,

Hopefully he's convicted, regardless of his involvement.

You were on the other day saying that South African courts were corrupt and yet this is the kind of "justice" you'd favour. You really are a sad sack.

And as for Luma Lamp Loyal's
"I am sure he will have a get out of jail free card courtesy of Tony Blair within his posession"

You're surely not suggesting Tony Blair would turn a blind eye to murder of women (and children) are you?

Adams has certainly led an interesting and colourful life since his days campaigning for Civil Rights and equal housing etc.

He has been shot and seriously wounded by a Unionist murder squad working in collusion with British Intelligence but this did not deter him from working for peace and reconciliation.

The whole world admired and watched in awe as he & John Hume initiated the peace process which succeeded in bringing an end to the bloody conflict in Ireland. Adams was one of the chief architects of the Good Friday Agreement and for that he should be congratulated.

People need to move on in peace, reconciliation and harmony otherwise the whole situation in The North Of Ireland will degenerate back to the bad old days and know one wants that do they???

Doubt he will be charged with this dreadful murder of 40 odd years ago and the killers will forever remain unknown.

Given his involvement in a war or two I would've suggested that turning a blind eye to the odd murder is pretty low on his 'being a bit of a tw@t' list.

War doesn't necessarily mean the murder of women

When was the last war in which no women were killed?
