Apparently the Public Prosecutor used to be Adams' solicitor and thus has excused himself from reviewing the file sent by the PSNI - his assistant will review the case instead.
It'll be interesting to find out exactly how long that review will take place but I've read rumours already that it'll be dismissed
Why does Gerry Adams deny being in the IRA?
I've no idea. I don't know anybody who knows anything about the history of The Troubles who believes him on that score.
