Everton ready to pounce on want-away West Ham striker Mo Diame.


Everton are plotting a swoop for West Ham midfielder Momo Diame with the player said to be keen on a move away from Upton park.

The Senegal international, who recently admitted he'd jump at the chance of playing for a top-six club, is open to leaving Upton Park this summer.

And Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is considering a summer move for the powerful midfielder.

Martinez is on the look out for a replacement for midfielder Gareth Barry, whose season-long loan from Manchester City ends this month.

The Everton manager wants to make Barrys move permanent, but is making contingency plans in case a deal is not possible.

And Diame is emerging as a target for Martinez this summer. Martinez knows all about Diame having worked with the midfielder at Wigan.

A deal to land Diame would be straight forward given the players 3.5 million release clause.

The 26-year-old has 12 months left on his current deal, meaning t
