    The Brian Clough Trophy

Should it be extended to include all East Midlands towns by including Leicester, Notts County, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Burton. I know you love your football and don't mind being a one sport town so he's a chance to see more of it and put some meaningful silver in your trophy cupboard. It isn't as though you usually normally have a congested fixture list, you soon exit other cup competitions and finish early in midtable as fresh as a daisy.

It was started and intended for Derby v Red Dogs games and should remain so.
When will Derby be playing against the other teams?

It was started by Derby to remind the country that Forest's Cloughy also managed Derby once.

One of the worst thread topics I've seen on DM for a while, followed by one of the worst attempts at banter.

    No attempts here.

It coincided with you hiring his son, renaming the A52, building a statue thats falling apart and parading Barbara around every other game.

How long is it since Forest won a trophy?

How long has it been since Forest were in the playoffs?

How long has it been since Forest played at Wembley?

How long has it been since Forest were in the Premier League?

How many of your posts on Derby Mad haven't been a poor attempt at a wind up?

    re: The Brian Clough Trophy

I have always thought that the Brian Clough trophy should be between Derby and Forest for just one specific match each year, held pre season. Alternating grounds each year.

This nonsense about it being presented every time we play is just silly. When we play Forest in a cup or league game I care about the points or getting through to the next round, I don't care about the Clough trophy because it is the least important.

But if it were a specific game every year where the trophy was the main focus then it would mean something. It would also guarantee we both play each other, regardless of what division we are in. Be a good warm up for the season for both teams as well, instead of just the insipid training games that make up pre season preparations.
