Statistics Reveal how we will fare at Brighton

Good analysis. Worth a read. Most likely that the game will pan out like this. - view external link

You're right it is good analysis but The only thing that really matters is the starting 11 and how they perform on the night and cope under pressure. Looking at BHA team, I reckon their main and only real danger is Lingard He is the one who will cause us problems so I think although Derby should stick to our usual approach, perhaps consider putting Thorne or Eustace tight on Lingard at least for some of the match just to try to stop them creating. Then hopefully the like of Russell and Dawkins can exploit their lack of pace at the back..

Their statistics show that they are a tight, stop-other-teams playing-and-nick-a-goal sort of a side.

We've been done a couple of times like that this season: Millwall, Wigan, spring to mind.

If we can open them up with some early expansive football, then anything could happen. But I suspect it will be a smothering game by them which will produce a scrappy and tense first hour. If it's still 0-0 then we will grow in confidence and start to wind ourselves up for a final 10 minute asphyxiation.
