A self-help book just for you

As you will want to integrate with your allotment pals as soon as possible, a few tips about how to become a gnome (of course, here you have an advantage over most of of us).

Wearing red and blue is the first place to start. Wear a red shirt with blue pants, or blue pants with a red shirt if you want to twist it up a bit. Or just wear regular neutral colored or dark navy pants with a red or blue shirt to keep the iconic gnome look. As long as the majority of your outfit includes these two colours, you are already on your way to being a raunchy gnome.

Next is a hat. You never see a gnome without one. Therefore, this should be the main focal point of your gnome apparel. You can create a hat using felt, simply by rolling it into a cone and either gluing or sewing it together so it stays in place. You can add a strap to it to keep it on your head, make it large enough to fit on your head without falling off,

"He lingered in that charming little garden to say hello to the gnomes, such a glorious infestation! How few wizards realize just how much we can learn from the wise little gnomes or, to give then their corrects, the Gernumbli Gardensi."

    J.K. Rowling

Everyone is jumping on your bandwagon. Shurely some copyright issues here.

This is Tom Clark's gnome, 'Corky'.

    It recently sold on e-bay.

I think you will agree, the sculptor has observed the position of Corky's hands perfectly.

    Probably not.

You have only to glance through this thread to see that Corky and I are far, far too mature and adult to fall out over something like this.

Now, if it was a debate over when to lift 'earlies' - then that would be a totally different matter!

But if you are concerned, pax Corkum is declared herewith.
