    We all make mistakes...

Just had a quick look back to a poll carried out by the E&S in May 2013 for readers' choice of a new manager after Saunders was sacked.

    Votes were
    Owen Coyle 44%
    Steve Davis 28.4%
    Steve McClaren 22.8%
    Kenny Jackett 4.8%

Have to admit Steve Davis was my choice, but happy (Really Happy!) to have been wrong...

That's remarkable, 4.8%! I voted for Coyle myself.

Is it worth firing up the old Fickleometer at this stage ???

Just found it and bumped it back.

At the time of asking, i think i also went for Coyle, but wasn't put off by the idea of either Jackett or Davis.

At the time I wasn't too keen on KJ but I suspect, like a few others, I didn't really know who might be best for us.

Once KJ was appointed, I really started to look into his background, including reading the book on his promotion season at Millwall. I became very impressed with what he had done and how he had done it.

The way our players talk about him does not surprise me. I don't expect him to deliver the Champions League trophy, but I do think that we have a really dedicated winner as a manager and the ride so far has been just brilliant!
