Whilst martin has rehabilitatted his reputation at this level, would he hack it in the premier league? He was a flop with Norwich at that level which is why they let him go. of course he has had a good season and the benfit of a good coaching staff so maybe he would do a lot better, but many players who shine in the championship dont do as well in the prem.

as much as I love martin, I don't think he's mobile enough to be a first choice striker in the premier league. he'd be a good option off the bench or to step in for injuries/suspensions.

Although I agree that I don't think he would do very well in the Premier League, you can't say he 'flopped' in the Premier League with Norwich. He has a total of 5 Premier League appearances to his, two of which were coming on as a substitute with only a few minutes to go. Three starts is hardly enough to judge someone as a flop, if a striker in a relegation battling side averaged a goal every 4 games he would finish with 9 or 10 goals, which would be considered a good return.
