More player retain/offload decisions to be made

After the release of James O'Connor, Callum Ball, Ross Atkins, Valentin Gjokaj and Michael Hoganson it strikes me that there are a raft of similar decisions to be made as follows: -

Injured Players

Shaun Barker - good to see he's now sprinting and doing ball work but does Steve McClaren rate him? Even if he does it'll be a big ask to return and challenge Richard Keogh and Jake Buxton for a starting spot. Whichever division we're in next season I expect McClaren will want to strengthen the defence.

Paul Coutts - injured before McClaren arrived and, again, does the manager rate him? We've only really seen him play right-midfield but his best position is meant to be central-midfield.

Fringe Squad Players

Adam Legzdins - is he out of contract in the summer? Obviously needed as back-up to Lee Grant for the play-offs but wouldn't surprise me if McClaren promotes Kelle Roos to back-up next season.

Conor Sammon - will Sammon

There's also Mark O'Brien who I also meant to include in the post above but forgot. He hasn't featured in the senior side since his return from injury, although he has played for the U21s. Did make the bench a couple of times when injuries and suspensions had the senior squad down to the bare bones.

Has McClaren been easing him back gently with an eye on next season or does he not rate him?

How's mac rate or don't rate Barker and Coutts? He haven't seen them play or what they got to offer etc, BUT Mac said few months ago he like the look of Coutts when he watched few clips.
