    Sunderland v Swans

And so to our final match of the season.Luckily PL safety is not riding on this result, but there is the matter of league place bonus, reaching the 40 point barrier, and rewarding loyal away fans who will be making the long journey, with a fighting display and some points.
Sunderland haven't lost at home to Swansea in all of their Premier League matches,,yet three of our five games in the last three seasons have ended in draws. They have won just one of their previous 12 Premier League games on the final day of the season, but are within a point of us after four straight wins.
There is talk of Fulton playing, but now is not the time to gamble, with millions at stake with the league position bonus,at plus 1.2 million per higher league position in the table.

Well Monk gambled and played Fulton -
    Tremmel,Tiendalli,Taylor(capt),Fulton,Britton,
    Amat,Bartley,Dyer,Shelvey,Bony,Emnes,Routledge.
    Subs-Williams,Britton,Cornell,De GuzmAin, Alvaro,Davies,King.
A bit of a shock when the teams was announced and a feeling of annoyance from the travelling jacks after a seven hour bus trip to get there, playing a second string side, but boy did they do us proud.
You've read the match reports by now,so I won't go into detail, but we convincingly beat a team that had just won four straight games, beating Chelsea and Man Utd away, and almost beating Man City away too,but for a late injury time equaliser.
To say this was a season changing result would be a fair comment,as it moved us up to a very respectable 12th place in the table, and earned us quite a few million in position bonus,1.2 mill for each higher position.
Now we can look forward to next season with optimism after finishing on a high note with 3 wins out of the last 4 games.
