McInnes is a greetin faced basturt, and has robbed worthier candidates of a Manager of the Year trophy.

Other than Sir Paul Hartley, I think McInnes does deserve the trophy. They were the second best team in the league minus a horrific mistake by the ref and beat sellick home and away. Added to winning a trophy he is the most obvious winner.

I've said on here before that Paul Hartley should have got it, after leaving Alloa in a safe position and taking Dundee up, but if McNamara wins the Scottish Cup he'll more that outdo McInnes' season with Aberdeen, and it could be argued about the lesbian in charge of Motherwell.

Yer at it, Daniel. The one thing you cannot accuse McInnes of is being torn faced. The man has been dignified and respectful throughout.

I think the only other candidate for manager of the year on performance is arguably Tommy Wright, but I can't consider anyone 'worthier' than McInnes.

He had the 2nd biggest budget by a mile and still couldn't finish 2nd. He got well beat in the Scottish Cup Semi and almost blew the League Cup against a poor ICT side.

Stuart McCall or Tommy Wright were more worthy of Manager of the year imo.

So what they beat Celtic home and away? Even having done that they didn't amass more points than Motherwell which merely points to the fact that couldn't do as well against the rest of the diddies than Motherwell, hardly what the second best team should do. You are not second best just because you beat Celtic twice if that was the case we were second best in 1978 when we beat Celtic and got relegated.

You are not second best team if you win a cup. You are second best if you come second in the league its simple arithmetic. Had Aberdee

Just seen the Motherwell goal. Langfield went up like a fairy and very few Dholly players complained.
