If your comment is down to a comparison of IP addresses or the fact that my IP address changes regularly (which you've mentioned before), I understand that if users of Sky broadband turn off their router for more than half an hour, their IP address automatically changes.

I turn off my router, TV, computers etc etc every night to save energy. Therefore, I expect my IP to change at least every day. Absolutely nothing to do with wanting to deceive anyone - it's simply a result of actions to save energy. (See link)

If you can think of an acceptable way I can prove I'm not Pete, let me know.

Log on when Grumpy Pete is on line, no doubt you could somehow record the info that you are both using FF at the same time... unless you have 2 routers of course !!

Thanks for that Kitey, but being logged on at the same time at Pete, doesn't prove anything.

Best I can think of is if Pete and I post at the same time (if he was agreeable) but the onus is really on the person making the accusation - and he has access to the IPs
