The board was definitely better when COTW was a weekly event. And I mean proper COTW, not the tripe that has been attempted recently.

I'm willing to run it again, but the vote equalisation needs to be calibrated and tested. It'll cost about 3 grand, so perhaps if everyone chipped in we could make it happen.

Well... just got in from a lovely day out in the sun and read the thread (poetic) all the way through... most entertaining , made me laugh (easily amused of course).
Trouble with having one board for footie posts and one for other is that most posts start off about footie and then the highly imaginative, innovative posters that one finds on FF are liable to take the subject in a myriad (yes myriad) of directions. That surely is what makes it enjoyable. The banter is normally tongue in cheek and sometimes quite clever.
A?3K seems a bit steep for the COTW franchise TM.. we could buy 3 shares with that.

As for the separate forum suggestion, I've proposed that a few times only for it to be shouted down. Not sure there'd be much point in implementing it out-of-season at the moment.

As for the rest of the stuff, I think the tech guys might be back from holiday now. I can't do anything about stuff like avatars, like functions and swear filters etc.
