Wales international Huws to join on loan from Manchester City.
Emyr Huws to join Wigan on loan
Six months deal from Manchester City
Uwe Rosler back to old club for Wales international Huws
Wigan Athletic are delighted to confirm that a deal has been agreed with Manchester City for Wales international midfielder Emyr Huws to join in time for the start of the season.
The 19-year-old is currently with City on their pre-season tour of the USA but will return to join up with Latics during the pre-season.
The midfielder is highly thought of at the Etihad Stadium and Latics manager Uwe thinks it speaks volumes that his former club have trusted one of their players to him.
He said: a€œCity are looking for Emyr to develop and as we have demonstrated in the past, top young players are able to come to us and improve, both on the field with regular playing time, but also off the field in terms of absorbing our first team training culture and discipline and helping them to improve every face
He were reet funny when he were captain on Question of Sport in oldun days. and scored 35 gows fot Liverpool's reds. Let's hope he can still do it.
Err its on the tip of me tongue david. Just need grobelaar in nets hansen in defence and rushy up front.
Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has admitted that he wants to reinforce his attacking department.
The figures some teams in this division has spent on strikers is something we just can’t compete with. It’s difficult to get in the kind of quality we need with the wage packets we can afford to pay out
looks like what we have is what we will have as i cant see us spending any money if anything it will be another striker on loan...
