French striker Andy Delort remains a target, although Latics face competition from a number of clubs for his signature. His club, Tours, issued a statement yesterday, which read: “At the moment, not a single agreement has been found with this club (Wigan), even if discussions are ongoing. Discussions are also under way with several other clubs.”

Kenny Jackett revealed Wolverhampton Wanderers had seen a large bid rejected for Tours striker Andy Delort who now seems set to complete a transfer to Wigan.

The 22-year-old was paraded on the Wigan pitch ahead of their game with Blues and according to reports is set to sign a contract on Monday.
