    Football clubs avearge attendance 2013/14

Just having a look at the average attendances for L1 and L2 for last season and so we can see who has around our numbers and how is they can exist without an academy or sugar daddy?

I will look at L2 next. - view external link

League 2 is interesting when our Club thinks this league is our natural home and so would many fans agree with that or that we should be able to match Walsall, Oldham, Gillingham and even Leyton Orient. Oh they have a sugar daddy... - view external link

Chalkdust said Shrews were better gates than us right? Well he is looking at those figures but only by a few hundred and so they really are our size and so its a fair comparison for comparing players wages and ability to compete as too with Walsall and Oldham. Nobody would think they are L2 fodder.

If the club's argument has always been we would not be a league club without an academy, then look at all the clubs of a similar size in L1 and L2 and ask why that should be the case and why an academy then is essential even for L2?

Its really fine to be ambitious and argue that its essential for L1 or above but that was not what they were saying.

The mystery is that the population of Crewe and Nantwich has increased by tens of thousands over the last few years and yet we don't seem to be able to attract that many to our matches. I wonder why? Has anyone ever seen our club promoted in the town centres? Any chance of seeing a fixture promoted then?

Any chance of reducing the ticket prices in the worst view in the ground then?

    No, thought not!
