And we beat you 5 times on the bounce between Mar 2008 and Dec 2009 ( and have only lost 4 times to your lot since Oct 2006 (3x in the EPL)

Yeah, but our rivals are strengthening (Arse to buy Sanchez and Debuchy, Liverpool with Lambert, Lallana, that other geezer probably Lovren and more with the dough from teeth.
We, at present, have the same leaky defence, uncreative midfield and toothless frontmen.
Kane Adebayor and soldado will have to be on fire next season. The midfield improve creatively and the defence drastically.
4th is just not an option imo, and we shouldn't think we have failed if we don't.
We have the smallest capacity of all the top 20 clubs in Europe.
We cannot compete financially until Pickles gets his finger out.
we will also have to rebuild before that as invariably our top players will leave for greener pastures before the new stadium materialises.
So, lets keep in touch until we can and not get too carried away.

The 7 teams at the top of the Premier League last season will be the same 7 this season. Some of the order will change but no one new will break in. Teams like Soton, Swansea & Newcastle are dismantling their squads.

But I think you'll finish behind Everton again. Martinez building more of his own team and THEY could be the ones challenging for top four. Man Utd a dark horse this season, Liverpool too without Suarez. And what about Citeh without Yaya?

I think 6th or 7th for you again this year but you've got to improve that goal difference.

Unless Martinez does what he usually does.
I like Martinez though, he talks a lot of sense.

The only difference between Spurs and Liverpool last season was Liverpool scored more goals.
Their defence was just as bad as ours, but they scored more goals.
I am a bit surprised that poo have not addressed that yet.

Since 2009 when we qualified for CL, we have then missed CL by 6, 2 and 1 point/s respectively on the bounce, so 10/11 -12/13 and 13/14 you could say we we challengers for 4th.
    Especially challengers to Arsenal.
However, last season we were 10 points off of 4th.

We still have not sorted out either the front or back -or a midfielder who can assist/score alongside eriksen - and logic tells you that we have to.
As the club have not seemed to have sorted out the deficiencies of the previous season, you'd then have to be realistic and say that this season we're not contenders for 4th.
It's a funny old game though.

Last season we may of been 10 from 4th but we were 3 off equaling our highest points tally.

With Hugo signing new contract and the club saying Jan is staying think we only really need to sort out our fall backs.

Poch will, I believe, play 1 up and with luck Soldardo will come good. Mid will be Erikson, Sandro, Lamela, maybe Holtby, a number of very good players to pick from. Lennon Paulinho Chadli Dembele Townsend etc so dont think we need to strengthen outside of that unless an exceptional player comes along.

starting deference should be Jan Vlad Walker and new LB (Ben Davies?)

    Everton will not finish 3rd.
Remember - the only difference between Liverpool and spurs was that they scored more goals Sturridge and Suarez were on fire. They let in just one more goal than we did. It remains to be seen if they have rectified that.
In fact, out of the top 8 Poo had the 2nd worst GA, after us.
