    FIFA AT A CROSSROADS

The World Cup gets of to a dodgy start with riots in the streets of Rio and an incompetent
    referee for the opening game.

Why did FIFA appoint such a poor referee from a back water football country like Japan for the first game ?

His penalty decision was not the only bad call he made. He shud have sent off the scorer of the Brazilian equaliser.

Let's hope further incompetent referees don't spoil future matches.

The media coverage is also getting tedious and for future matches I will be tuning in from kick off time and switching off at full time.
