For the record, I think that Ronaldo was "World Class" at United. I also don't rate Messi as highly as others. The reason for this is that Ronaldo could play for Burscough FC and still do what he does. He can play direct, tika-taka, up and under. Any style of football.

Messi on the other hand, if you took him out of that Barcelona team, he would not be as good IMHO. He can only play one way, one of the reasons I think he doesn't do as well for Argentina as he does Barcelona as they don't play to suit his style. Don't get me wrong he is still phenomenal. But if you was to put Ronaldo in a big Sam team

I'm throwing this one out there...I don't think Suarez is any better than Shearer. As good as his record is in scoring goals, it isn't as good as Shearers. He has all the tricks and flicks where Shearer just lead the line, bullied defenders, and was a goal machine. Different types of player, but your judged on your goal scoring record, and Shearer is right up there. For some reason we love to put greater importance on someone from South America.
