Obviously a bit off topic but inextricably linked to my days at Ewood as I traditionally have a pint of their stuff before a game

I hear the news tonight they are vacating their Blackburn site and relocating to Mellor Brook.

Another traditional business leaves the town centre and will no doubt be another eyesore of industrial decline in the town. I do not know any details of this issue with the council and there could well have been politics involved in the decision. Irresepective of all that it now means another huge loss of rateable income for the Borough and another space to try to get a replacement tenant to re develop at a time when the town centre looks like a war zone.

I do not know who is responsible for Economic regeneration in the town but the collective councils for the last 20 years should hang their heads in shame. The Gateway into Blackburn through the Eastern route now ranks as probably one of the most depressing in the UK. I have been to most towns and cities and fe
