Fine in principal Brocks but I see two problems with that, one the player would lose value during that period so it would be the club who suffers (twice), two the precious little fella, encouraged by his agent would probably take legal action for his human rights/restraint of trade or some such balls!
    Probably righ

Lovrens saying that he has not refused to play for saints and he doesn't know where the story came from.

    This from his twitter account.

Well if these quotes are genuine, then the guy makes Lallana look like an angel. What a classless, arrogant, deluded prick.

Getting really fed up with this now. Squeeze the Scousers or whoever for every penny we can get for him and anyone else who wants out, and start afresh with players who do actually want to play for the club, rather than a chairman who fed them a load of pipe dreams. Talk about a kick in the nuts. - view external link

Can help but feel that our ex-chairman and Manager have filled a lot of young (and let's face it, mostly empty) heads with dreams that neither they, nor the players achieved last season. The rot set in some time ago it would seem, and we are now seeing the fall out. A world cup probably hasn't helped us, with a whole bunch of players calculating their additional net worth because of their appearance on the global stage.

I don't see that after comments like that we can keep him, unless out of spite and have him

    Lovren..."My heads already at Liverpool"

Maybe, but the club that holds your contract, and pays your wages is in Southampton, be very wise to remember that.

Interesting that Le Tissier has slammed him and told him to 'keep his trap shut' until the club accepts a bid and asked that if he is leaving because the club is selling its best players, whether he will ask Liverpool for a transfer if Suarez is sold?!

To steal a quote from someone on twitter, it's seems more like it's stuck up his own arris

If Liverpool meet our valuation then just go then

This is the fall out of our previous chairman making pie in the sky promises whilst spending someone else's money.
It's also another example of how self serving and odious modern day footballers are

He was sold a pup, if saints, had said "we intend to be a solid mid table prem side who will make a decent return on our academy but will not have ambitions of European football and don't give a flying one about winning cups" then I doubt he'd of signed in the first place.
So let let him go and wish him luck.
