    Bob wants striker job

"Bob McHugh has begged boss Stuart McCall to give him the nod to be Motherwell’s goal-getter in the new season"
Afraid we should send rejection letter thanking him for his application. Pheck could we have Bob AND Clarkson playing upfront ... a Carlsberg dream combination I never considered and hope never materialises

Bob's clearly a hard worker. What I found stunning is he's been around for about 7 years.

Given he's not broken through to first team, clearly he never will.

I'm lost as to why his contract was extended last season ?

Exactly ... we have made some baffling contract offers over the years... Bob McHugh runs Stevie Woods close for the longest service based on absolutely nothing. Stevie Woods only wins cos he played nearly ever week for years and was utter p1sh throughout. At least McHugh can point to less chances but still remains a waste of a valuable wage.

Bob has scored important winning goals over the years; just not enough of them. A lot of QoS fans weren't that impressed - workrate couldn't be faulted; scoring rate could. He's ours, so I'll cheer him on, but, as so many have posted, he's been around for a while without really breaking through.

It was extended the season before last. Seemed a panic move when we were losing a lot of players - and hardly looks better now.

I reckon we'll be doing our best to bundle him out the door somehow as soon as we sign another forward.

Simply not good enough Bob, and had yer pen hit the net in Krasnodar we'd be seeded in EC Round 3, so it's a sod off from me.
