I echo those thoughts
Really great news that 'Wembley hero' Dave Artell is back at the Alex and big coaching role in the Academy.
It was a sad - but necessary - day when he left, and it's so good that he is able to return. :-D
I echo those thoughts
I agree, but does anyone know what he will be doing in the academy?
His job title could mean anything.
A remarkably determined player, with limitations, but who would never give up.
I look forward to him adding a bit of steel to the Academy.
Clarification, though.
Does he continue with the 'day job' at Wrexham?
Does he hang up his boots now?
Or does he keep his registration going so that he could turn out for us if there were a long injuries list?
great news for Dave and us as he will add something about the place
but another back room job
its why the place costs so much to run
On the OS it states he is replacing Michael Jolley who has gone to Burnley as U21s coach. Seems fair enough to me. I'm sure Dave's job title means something - but I've no idea what exactly!Originally Posted by bonehead

Released by Wrexham at the end of the season and has stated his desire to get involved in coaching. Not sure how this will impact on his involvement with Gibraltar, could be a Steve Phillips type case though and he plays lower non-league football alongside?
I think the Academy role, whatever it actually is, is a full time one. Probably no time for knockabouts in non-League when he has a squad of young bloods at Reaseheath to sort out.
With six promoted to working with the 1st team squad and several of them knocking on the door to get on the bench, we need a new batch working their way up.
Just looking back over big Dave's career. Could his friendship with Roberto Martinez from their Chester days come in useful when we're looking at the loan market?
