    Celtic Manager says...

"It's very unfair that going to the last 16, as we did two years ago, is not going to be recognised.

"But it's a problem in every small country. We maybe have one good team but the other ones are dragging that team down."

If the dopey 'Delia' did his homework on Scottish fitba before he landed, he'd have known the whole league and setup is totally skewed towards his 'good' team.
Spread the money out amongst us all, get decent sponsorship on board and let us at least try to compete with the chosen one.
We're not dragging them down, they're standing on us all and not letting us compete at the same level.

He could have chosen his words better. The fact is that with the sponsorship deals (did you see what Man U are getting from Adidas?) and the hundreds of millions in TV money which are going to other leagues, having to play us or the Accies isn't really what's stopping Celtic from being as competitive as they'd like to be.
    Money is the big issue.

the man is a class A moron. He knows fine well previous results only affect individual club seedings.

If he actually wanted to be constructive, then speak out for the financing of the league, don't hoard scottish youth players, provide competitive loan deals to other scottish teams and help improve standards of clubs in the same league... But, that will never happen as God forbid some sort of competition break out for top spot and takes away an easy CL qualifying spot.

So hope he gets puuuuumpt 5-0, artmedia style.

fully agree, we should give him a small break given English is not his first language, but it is a strange subject to pick a fight on. He seems to have picked up the Parkhead Paranoia quickly.

the reason why the League has the co-efficient it has is because we can't win many games in Europe. MFC knows this better than most

Celtic should help increase the revenue of the whole league, it would make them stronger as well

a real pity that Deila has made these comments, I thought he might bring a more thoughtful perspective than Lennon

Seedings: yes, only affect that club. However the leagues coefficient affects which round that the club start in.

Yeah the diddies could do better if they were better resourced but whose fault is it that the 11-1 voting structure on financial matter was still in place 3 years after Rangers imploded. The diddies have not covered themselves in glory in the running of our game either.

That would be Aberdeen who voted with Celtic against the proposal to change to an 8-4 voting system - due to the 11-1 system only 2 teams needed to vote against the new system for proposal to be defeated.

"When "The Rangers" get back, we will have the bigot brothers backing each other yet again.

Yeah but for the 11-1 to have been introduced in the first place the diddies needed to agree. For far too long all the diddies were interested in was getting from one old firm game to the next. Their collective lack of vision is just about as bad as the OF's mercenary greed... almost not quite. You consider the statement Motherwell put to their fans on the Rangers vote... that was nothing short of pathetic. We'd
