welcome to the roller-coaster that is motherwell fc.

Despite the fact the ref was honking, giving two soft penalties and ruling a goal offside that was not. Two things stood out for me; decision making and fitness levels.

Still, both opposition goals were penalties, and on another day could have been 3-0 and not 2-2. Just cut out the STUPID mistakes and don't give the ref a choice to make and they can be beaten quite easily.

A disgrace. Slow at the back slow in the middle nothing up front. A shambles and guess what ? Thats as good as it gets nothing on the bench.Manager already making excuses. This will be a long long season.

Go for the cup ??? how they giving it away in a raffle...??? Defence utter cack yet again. The standartd of our corners was utterly abysmal not one delivered with any pace on it. The only thing I'm surprised at is that some Motherwell fans will be surprised at that utter p1sh. If the opposition had their finishing boots on we could have been going to Iceland on a hiding. Didnt kick a ball after we scored our second...

Over the 90 minutes your team deserved the draw. They did not just sit back all the time, and troubled us late on as we tired. It's all set up for a close game next week

Poor performance from us tonight both on and off the pitch. I understand that match fitness was always going to be an issue but in hindsight we weren't properly prepared.

The formation too left a lot to be desired. John Sutton can't play on his own up front and tonight that was painfully obvious once again. All too often attacks broke down because there was no one in the box. We enjoyed a fair bit of pressure but has no cutting edge. Our build up was painfully slow and predictable.

The defence was poor as we anticipated and Simon Ramsden again proved he's no centre back - the lad himself will admit that.

We were repeatedly cut open down our left flank where an admittedly unprotected Steve Hammell went AWOL.

Add to the aforementioned, a string of individual errors and there you have it.

Josh Law looks promising and did well to notch 2 goals but he's clearly not fully fit.

As far as next week is concerned we must do much better both on and off the pitch.

    We were badly l

Massively disappointing. Amazing the margins though - we were poor against Aberdeen, fluke a goal and McCall's a genius. This the ref gets a penalty call wrong and rather than being cruising through at 3-1, we're on the verge of going out at 2-2.

But scoreline apart... the second biggest disappointment is still defending like a shambles - do that throughout the season and our 'luck' will have a funny way of looking like tonight rather Pittodrie last May.

Biggest of all though - How on earth have we not grasped the concept ofEuropean football over two legs yet!? We'd basically survived to win, we only needed to draw over there then we got lose concentration and got hit onthe break. Criminal, absolutely criminal. And coming after Pana and Kuban counterattacks, we never, ever learn.

I appreciate judging a Motherwell manager on his Euro performance is ridiculous in a way but given his experience as a player, McCall is an inexplicable failure on this stage. Not so much for the results -
