In the same article it mentions about Jordan Spence, who was also considered a decent prospect and one we were linked with a few years back if I remember correctly.

I would have thought Big Sam would know a decent defender when he saw one.Not sure the lad from West Ham is up to the mark.

Cueller would be a useful addition to my mind

The only thing I would worry about with Cueller is his wages.

Id like to think we ve learnt our lesson when it comes to wages/length of contracts..although this is Rovers we re on about ..

We do need cover at CB ..he didnt make an impact at Sunderland ..but maybe he could do a job in the Championship certainly as cover for our two who we all know arnt the most reliable centre half pairings we ve ever had ..(injuries ..loss of form ..loss of head!)

Just concerned about his lack of playing time last season ..

Its been a while since I saw him play. But this is the kind of experience (certainly at CH) I hoped we would be going for. Only if his wages aren't silly, then this is a good option. We have done too much hard work behind the scenes getting shut of the final big earners whp contribute nowt. So id like to think we have stopped doing that. To be fair, its been years since anything like that has happened. Its just taken a while to ger them paid off and away.

I trust Gary's judgement fully however I hope this potential deal is because the Keene deal is dead in the water because I would prefer him back on a season long loan.
Watching him go to Cardiff making their team stronger considering they are going to be 1 of our rivals for promotion this season would be a huge mistake.
