was stunned when Steve Davis gave Toots the job before the season started - hes missed a lot of goal chances in games , which in my mind is lack of belief - so to give him the pen job was always a big risk

trouble when a defender takes one is that if it is saved - your out of position

like teams that leave 2 up when defending a corner - makes the other team have to leave 3 back therefore reducing the bodies in the box especially if you leave one in middle of pitch and one right on touchline - team really struggle and maybe leave 4 back -- half your job done
