    20 pound cap

Great idea this to put a cap on tickets for away fans just hope its not just for the premiership though and its across the board for all leagues. - view external link

good idea but i can see clubs clawing back lost revenue by increasing tickets for home fans.

West ham charging up to £70 for a ticket for a game. Have been to west ham when we played them last time in the championship. Did not pay that for our wembley tickets and Upton park is no Wembley - view external link

My argument on this is simple - market forces.

If people are prepared to pay it they will charge it.

I won't be going to Leeds at £36. Others will go.

    re: 20 pound cap

It's obviously a nice idea but in reality it's only fans saying "we'd rather pay £20 than £62"
There's no scheme to bring this in.

The only lever the fans have is to not attend the rip-off away games.

For the much publicised Arsenal v Man City game
2100 fans went out of an allocation of 3000.
At £62 per head they paid £130,200.
If the full 3000 tickets were sold at £20 Arsenal would have got £60,000.

If fans will pay up the clubs will charge what they like.
