what the Bolton fans say about Alex Baptiste

Several Bolton fans at my workplace. Most say he is painfully slow at full-back and concedes record number of penalties in this position.

However definitely a bit better in the middle where his obvious lack of pace is not so evident.
They think he could be o.k.with the right partner in the middle,as his record at Blackpool suggests he was (in a not very good Blackpool team under plenty of pressure from opposing attacks).
But with the wrong partner in the middle, well either Baptiste or the other guy will have to
    stop on the bench...at best.

If read in reverse you could be talking about Kevin Davies.

Yes,Kevin Davies makes unhappy reading for Balckburn fans.Having been signed for £7.5 million in 1998(ten times what Southampton paid for him a season earlier ). Scored one goal for us in 21 appearances as a centre-forward - and we got relegated, even with all of Uncle Jacks money.
Kevin Davies committed the most fouls in Premier League history (apparently with over 100 yellow cards -only Lee Bowyer providing any competition in that department ) but that was as an effective defensive ?? tackling ?? centre-forward with Bolton, where he was employed to much better effect.
