    Roberto Martinez said the overriding feeling in the Everton dressing room was one of disappointment after a late equaliser denied the Blues an opening-day victory over Leicester City.

    The Toffees were set to get the new season off to a winning start following goals from Aiden McGeady and Steven Naismith, either side of Leonardo Ulloa’s debut strike for the hosts.

    However, Chris Wood earned a point for Leicester with four minutes left.

    He said: “We should have won the game and we only have ourselves to blame,” the Blues boss said. “I think we did everything we had to do in the first half – I thought we controlled the environment and everything that comes when playing against a newly-promoted side."

    Don't see how a team can let two goals in, and survive a few near misses, then claim to have coped really well
