    Today's game...also fao dan...

Dan, I'm responding here aswell. And totally agree, I need to go and see for myself.
So last min today my Dad suggested we go (after we heard the positive news re Rhodes) I Was thoroughly impressed. Good atmosphere, we played well. Rhodes set us off, took his goal well. Rudi was a nuisance. I do like Baptiste at CB. Lowe at RB. Evans was good too. I was really impressed with Ollson at LB. He gets forward so well. I thought their pen was a joke (to add to the unfair one at Norwich) all in all I feel positive. Good signs re Rhodes (still unsure if Hull will come back in again?) but I'm really glad I went now.

That's great news Champs. So did the 4.50 Champs agree with the 12.06 Champs?

It changes Dan. The 19:29 Champs changes from the 19:30 to be honest!!!
The 4.50 champs is the happy one after seeing for himself. I have to stop spouting off after seeing nothing, as my opinion is based on ...well, nothing!! I will call in next time to Uncle Jacks (if that's where you and Howie go?) we where on the minutes after deciding to go last min, and had to queue for a ticket. We went in the Riverside today.

A good three points against a side that time might prove to be very good at this level. We will see.

Its just good to know we aren't leaving ourselves a huge gap to have to claw back early on. I'm not saying I think we will go up, but its nice not to be dropping a load of points.

6 goals in 3 games is encouraging too, especially as rhodes has only netted one of them.

They weren't too bad, and would've felt aggrieved at being 3 down in such a short space. Rhodes's goal was against the run of play. But that spell of 3 goals culminated with Rhodes hitting the inside of the post to make it 4 before HT.
They came out 2nd half and we completely weathered the storm right up until the ref literally gave them a pen. They had barley threatened until that point, and to answer your q's I didn't think we sat back per say. I do think any side, regardless of level, takes their foot off at 3nil. You see it all the time. I didn't think we sat back deep ie, for them to come at us. They got a few corners late on, and one went in. Was a bit tense at the end, but a win is a in. Just 3 goals would've been nice for GD.

To be honest Saxo, it probably would have finished 3 - 0 had the ref not awarded a penalty for no reason that anyone can fathom, it was right in front of us and there was nothing that looked like a pen at all. He also awarded them a free kick on the edge of our box for a very good tackle. And the corner they scored from should have been a goal kick. We were sloppy in marking on that one. But, had the game been officated better, it would have been 3 - 0

That was some of the best football I've ever seen, played by any team. 15 - 20 minutes of sheer classy dominance. Shame it fizzled after Rhode hit the woodwork, it looked like we'd be going in at half time 5 or 6 up at that point. I have to hand it to Bournmouth though, very well organised all over the pitch, huge workrate and know exactely who will be where. They'll be up in the top 10 this season, chasing the play offs.
