Manchester City Pull Out Of Deal For Everton Star.

Manchester City have withdrawn their interest in Everton superstar Ross Barkley.

Manuel Pellegrini has taken the decision to pull out of the deal after the Toffees said that they will not let their attacker leave for anything less than £50m.

Barkley was in sensational form last season as Everton finished fifth in the Premier League. His form was so impressive that he earned a call-up to Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad, being deployed mainly as an impact sub.

City were interested in Barkley towards the back end of last season, but the Mirror have confirmed that they have been put off after Everton’s valuation of the player.

The Premier League champions were willing to part with £30m for the energetic midfielder, with the fee rising should Barkley live up to his potential.

With City turning their attention elsewhere, the 20-year-old has signed a new four-year deal at Goodison Park.
