Unbelievable, we've signed a 26 year old from Barcelona

In a separate note the official site have stolen my headline - view external link

Saw the geezer wearing a moody cap at the game today.

If he is still as good as he was when at Arsenal a couple of seasons back then we can look forward to a bolstered midfield dominating much more during ensuing matches this season.

    re: Going for a song

Sam Allardyce has revealed the extent of shock suffered by Alex Song as he watched his new team-mates against Southampton yesterday.

And the manager then declared how badly he needs him in the team which is already faltering in a big way.

Allardyce – having explained that we weren't good enough against Saints – said: "Alex told me he couldn't believe we could produce a performance like that.

."We need Alex in the side because he’s going to kick a few backsides and motivate some people.

"He's going to be a leader and that's exactly what we need."

He didn't go on to explain where that leaves his present leader Kevin Nolan when he returns from injury nor has he made it clear who will make way in the midfield for his boy from Barcelona.

Song's a fantastic signing. Bad new for Noble imo though. Song can do everything Noble can, and well enough that Barcelona would sign him.

Saw on SSN earlier that Noble is considering playing for the Rep Of Ireland internationally due to his grandparents being of Irish ancestry.

Somehwta surprising if he does as he stands every chance of making it into the England squad soonber rather than later imo.

To be fair mate if he was going to make it into any squad it would have been this one, the fact that Colback has made it in ahead of him probably indicates that it will never happen under Hodgeson.
