duffy on the verge of signing

Shane Duffy on the verge of signing for the mighty blue and whites very good signing however just a slight worry Baptiste will be shifted to right back which he didn't look very good and even more worrying Lowe back in centre midfield.
I would like us to sign a defensive midfielder who can win the ball then get it moving instead of back or sideways.

Played most of last season on loan in the Championship for Yeovil. £1.5 million seems a bit steep for an Everton reserve with virtually no Premier-League experience, but at 22 the right age to develop.

Matt Kilgallon has a history of injury problems,so cover definitely needed.
I repeat my comments from Bolton fans at work, that Baptiste gives away record number of penalties, and unsuited to playing at right-back where he is much too slow, unfortunately.

Jason Lowe really cannot be moved from this position - otherwise we have big problems.

Don't know much about him. But good to give us options. He is young, therefore I can't see him walking in the side? If we got an injury to either Hanley or Baptiste, then we only have Kilgalon. Even more likely, suspensions throughout a very long season will have an even bigger impact. They where still after getting young Keane back up to this, so I think he is that extra defender we where looking to bring in.

Baptiste is clearly much better at CB. Anyone can see that. Personally, I don't think Lowe would ever be played in midfield, ahead of Cairney & Evans. When all are fit, that's never happened. Then if one of those get injured or suspended, then Williamson steps in. Again, mostly ahead of Lowe. If...and that's when we have played him...we have big problems, he has to play. Don't forget Evans m
