The next 3 games aren't looking too good.
We badly needed to win today.

    re: Hypothetically speaking

Not sure if Bilic would be a realistic call as he's managing a side playing in the Europa League so may see it as step down. But he'd be my choice.

Problem is he's not British and we all know Sullivan has said he wants British managers, although quite where Uncle Avram sits with that beats me.

Benitez would be a good shout too if he'd come and, as Napoli, got outed from the CL by Bilbao, and Italian clubs can be a bit hasty with the trigger, he may be available soon.

But being Spanish might go against him in the boardroom.

Personally I wish Sullivan would sell to the Russian guy who's supposedly waiting until the OS move to ensure we're still in the PL. Allardyce would be history immediately if/when that happens I'd guess.

    WHU has a great maxim.Aim low,get low.
When Allardyce was recruited his brief was promotion and stability. The methods were his responsibility.

Now stability should be expected and the brief should be a top 8 finish, playing attack based football. The club provide the funds to buy the players to fit that goal.

That is the criteria needed when appointing the next manager. The only candidate listed that I would not pursue,is Paolo Di Canio.I don't detect maturity in the guy and this is a standard pre-requisite in any form of management.

Would bite your arm off for that one Bonzo, good shout.

Other than the spud connection, which to be honest wouldn't bother me personally, there is something about a Hoddle / Teddy type setup that I like the sound of. I think the style of play would be what a lot of us crave.

Would take Bilic in a heartbeat, but think that may be further down the line, if at all.

Dyche, Pulis, Monk (spellings?) No fu(king thank you

Said a while ago i would choose Benitez. He was lambasted at Chelski, but he was never really given a chance there, they were on his back as soon as he arrived.

Di-Canio no, hes too volatile and have a feeling we would see as much off field entertainment as we would on.

    It will be Pulis though.

I swear to god (even though I don't believe in the existence of one ) if Pulis ever walks through the door of Upton Park as our manager my long love affair with West Ham would end.

That would be one kick in the proverbials too many I'm afraid.

I'm also afraid you may well have a point.

Maybe we should all hope for Pulis, then like our dreams...

Knowing our luck it would be the first time the board paid full attention to us.

I wouldnt give us up, but it would feel like the final nail had been driven into the coffin that once was West Ham.

    re: Hypothetically speaking

Read on one of the other forums that if Sullivan was to sack Sam this season it would now only cost £2.5 million and not the reported £4 million+
