    For me, there will never be another John Lyall.
    Different breed, different era, granted.

    I'd take Hoddle all day over Allardyce.

    Different style of football.

    Professional in front of the camera.

    Tactically astute.

    Wouldn't make excuses.

    Wouldn't take the one stat of many that suits his own argument.

    Would have a Plan B.

    In my opinion.

    One possible downside to Hoddle would be that imo he feels he has unfinished business as England manager. So IF (big IF) we appointed him and IF (big IF) he was successful we could be looking to replace him after a short while.

    So let's hope Norway and Switzerland kick the English ass, the F A rush to Allardyce for salvation, and we reluctantly ( ) release him from his contract to answer the call.
