    £34.5 million

Spent in this transfer window, £80m + since his arrival.

There really are no excuses remaining.

After the Saints game he blamed the defeat on a weakened squad without Carroll, Collins, Jarvis & Jenkinson. Sorry Sam, it ain't good enough. He's had more than enough money to have two players for every position and he can no longer claim to be the pauper. He has the best squad that he's ever had in his career and he needs to deliver now, 4 shots in a home game ain't good enough.

    Carroll injured. . . . . .play Sakho

    Nolan not scoring. . . . . . play Zarate

    Kouyate needs a rest. . . . .play Song

Need late impact subs . . . . .bring on Ravel, Valencia & Amalfitano.

    Need a right back .. . . . . . choose one of Jenkinson, Demel, O'brien or Chambers.

One of your three CB's injured. . . . . Kouyate & Song both played that position in the Champions Lg last season or perhaps the promising Burke & Oxford?

These should be exciting times, we've just signed a 26 year old from Ba

everything you have just said about positions being covered is 100% correct mate. these aren't reasons for losing/poor performances anymore... just invalid excuses.

just to add, holding on to reid and morrison was a massive bonus...

... to think that there were some that doubted they would be here at the end of this window

I did think Reid was a gooner for sure especially when their centre back got injured Sunday.Sam has now got a decent squad so there should be no more excuses and some decent football to boot.

If he can play Kouyate & song as holding midfielders, with Reid & ??? at the back, I think we may see a more attacking type of football.

I still cant see enough goals coming from the forward line, and that is a big problem.

    Afternoon all

Agree with Bonzo , having said that he stuck with basically the same side after good performances against the spuds and Palace, and we all know what went wrong next.

However it's no good to have your new signings on the bench and playing Vaz Te who is clearly out of his depth and the Cobra who is now not up to the job

I don't believe Reid was ever going to go to Arsenal...They were too busy trying to sign a striker after Giroud had his op.

As for Morrison...He has not been at the races...maybe it's because he is probably going to jail in Jan but I doubt anyone would go near him now. Has a good couple of games then believes his own press. Did it at Man Utd, WHU and QPR and ended up out of the team at all 3 clubs. So much for Harry 'putting his arm around him', he dropped him during the playoffs as he was anonymous in the semi and strangely never came in for him in the window...I wonder why ?

Yet interestingly last season we had the 14th most expensive squad yet finished 13th this season we have the 11th.

Maybe all is not as it seems
