Very interesting read. People commenting on the interview do not appear to have been impressed on the whole.

He is very much like a politician, he broaches most subjects but circulates around them without giving a definitive answer.

I am aware of the dire state of the playing squad and management, but I am also very confused as to the reported debt, and still am after the interview. As one person said ," Are we 163 million in debt. Or have we 163 million in assets ? "

That sums it up, along with his comment about how club would be a successful business if it was not for the football.

For ****s sake, it is BOLTON WANDERERS FOOTBALL CLUB. That's why we are all totally pissed off. A FOOTBALL CLUB before a business with a bucket load of real estate.

Come on Phil, if we are all in it together for the long run, don't treat us like the numpties you have previously stated.

Wipe your eyes man, I read this as "poor old Gartside" I did try, have tried and still trying my hardest for the club"

Sense check you tube, your the reason the club is bent over a barrel you slimy git.

BAcked DF by never refusing a loan deal - FFS in all honesty does he believe that most of the loan deals were not fit to work in club shop, let alone wear the shirt - I agree there were a few exceptions.

£160M in debt to ED but we own the assets, WTF is the point in owning the asset if the cash generation covers the interest payments with little or nothing finding its way back into the club - I have a car but if I don't fill it up, its ****ing nowhere !! Sell the assets and pay the cash cow off.

Sorry but reading this as infuriated me even more, the questions seemed to be worded in a way that gives the spineless twt a chance to answer them to give him an out.

Any other employee that performed to his level would have been binned ages ago, " I will go when ED tells me to" well im so

It made my blood boil reading it they should of asked him why Allardyce left and why are we still rewarding failure by keeping you as our chairman and if Davies is one of the good guys why has he let you destroy the club!

    re: Gartside finally speaks!!!

So if some one new wants to come in and buy the club and says ok you keep the assets you have poured money into such as the training ground and other so called business s and a potential new buyer says they just want the club and the hotel the stadium was paid for with grants before eddie came to buy or invest in bolton wanderers so the team and stadium is on price then the add ons is just the the hotel and car parks. Then this proposition should cost in the reign of 80 million the training grounds near the stadium and up at euxton can be relocated and built with grants and temp training faciliies can be rented until the new ones where built

then we have the issue of the personal debt I reckon half of that debt or lower is realistic

    so say 60 million

so would eddie davis go for that and phil gartside NO WAY WHY COS THE ASSETS ARE ONLY WORTH AS MUCH AS SOMEONES PREPARED TO PAY FOR THEM SO IF EDDIE AND GARTY PUT A HIGH PRICE ON THEM THEN THEY ARE OBVIUOSLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY
