Half an hour with the boss

well done to those who organized this, long overdue in terms of communication but a good interview

Did I learn anything new? Probably not, but at least there was passion, honesty, care, professionalism and a leader trying to sort out the season to date. He didn't shirk it, tried to put things in context and obviously is trying his very best.

I worry about perspiration rather than inspiration. I'd like to hear more about trying different things, perhaps some left-field ideas to shake things up. My fear is that SMc is a manager in the guise of SMc the player - hard work gets you everywhere. How long can he keep the same approach, how long can the club allow him to keep banging the 'keep working harder' drum? I like SMc, the interview only makes me want him to succeed even more and certainly he needs more help from the senior players like McManus, Lasley and Sutton who have all been poor.

An earlier post said let us see in early Jan, cup game over and transfer window still open.

McCall has to go tomorrow - no number of sound bytes in any interview can save him now - we need someone new at the helm to steer us back to becoming the fit, passing team we were until he got his hands on us!!!!!
