Can you actually tell me the attraction of going to these performances. I'snt it better to stay at home and play the 45's with a glass of whisky or zummatt.
I have been to 2 concerts in my life

    1. Shadows at their peak
    2. Beach boys in their dotage

Never really enjoyed either of them

As I am a South Stand Upper it goes without saying...sitting down and politely applauding something good

Just looked it up Bc as it is you Weekend of the Carlisle game there are no trains between Winchester and Basi at all Saturday and Sunday. Some Scum, Bournemouth and Weymouth trains therefore will be diverted via Haslemere, Havant, Cosham and Fareham. Therefore a revised timetable will be run between Guildford and Pompey. Stick to the road

I much prefer a bit of Rough Scully

As it happens may be staying over the night after the Carlisle game as there is talk of a post match dinner in the VL at which I have been asked to provide the brass backing. For the

PFC house band - the Dickensian Vagabonds who have been provisionally booked.

So am I the only one that thinks digging up the old road was a strange decision? :/

    I agree with you

Blocking it off at the Punch Bowl was an error.

If they are going to close it both ways at the same time seems obvious to have a relief road available that can be used.

Still thats Highways/Civil Servants etc for you

    The Hindhead tunnel...

They certainly could do with it yes, as I tour around Farnham and Bordon late Saturday I'll agree. However for those of us who can remember Swampy and his mates causing long delays and so much extra cost on the a34 Newbury bypass, the Tunnel was built without any such protest. I always thought that was due to the old road North of the Punch Bowl being returned to nature on completion of the tunnel. Talking of the old road I can recall 5 matelots going for an unwanted ride down it one Saturday afternoon in 1970 when they were supposed to be going North. How they survived they never knew, my Oppo was still shaking 30 hours later when I took him for a ride to a Meon Valley hostelry.

That's something I would have to enquire into LDB but I would imagine they would be depending on what other commitments bookings they have etc

The Band is organised by Mark Trapani one of the 3 PST BM's who led the bid to buy the Club and is currently one of the Directors of PFC.

Its a 7 piece (plus any brass if around) and they play an ecletic mix of Rock/Blues/Soul

I only turn up to play when required and if I can make it as I prefer to be freelance.

LMK what you have in mind?

Cancelled due to the poor uptake of tickets.
Everybody thought it was Westie providing the brass section...
