Personally I'd do what I've been advocating for some time now. . . . . . .. . . .offer Benitez the job. His wages are less than Sam's and his family still live in England, it wouldn't take too much to entice him from his hotel room in Napoli.

All this talk of Mcakay, Pulis, DiCanio etc has always made me laugh, those guys earn £1m per year and Sam earns £3m so we'd be shopping at Harrods rather than Aldi.
Would Benitez be able to serve us up good football [/quote]

For me mate it's the trophy's, I'll have to check but I think he won the Uefa cup TWICE with Valencia as well as other Spanish cups. FA Cup (I was there ), Champions Lg and eve

Agree with that,Benitez would have been my choice.

The guy has made a remarkable effort to show a positive transformation. Quite unprecedented really.

See the other interview thread. Maybe, just maybe, he has finally decided to do something different and abandon his old style ways. I'm sceptical, the last three years are not forgotten, but we are in a refreshing new situation and I'm curious to see what develops.

Hell of a funny thing going on with West Ham. And I like it.

Fact is he was set targets by the board and currently he is working to them. If he carries on like we are he will achieve them easily and will have earnt a new contract.
